College Essay


There is hardly a student who doesn’t hate college paper writing. Writing papers on interesting college essay topics may be fun and useful, but the truth is that students consider most topics as too boring to even think about. Writing good college essays is so difficult for students that they decide to purchase them from a college essay writing service, or even copy content and submit completely plagiarized papers.
When students decide to work on their own essays, they usually devote less than an hour to the assignment and write random sentences that are not even associated to the material. We have to understand a professor’s frustration when they see content that meets the minimum page-count only because it has been font-manipulated.
Students think that professors just love assigning college essay papers and grading them meticulously, but the truth is different. If the students need less than an hour to pick some random quotes and repeat the same points over and over again until they write the required number of pages, the college instructor will have to spend few days to grade all papers and comment on all style, discussion, syntax, and grammar issues within them.
Is their work valued? Not at all, since the average college student will rarely go through the professor’s comments and will take them as a serious insult to their person. Can professors stop assigning papers?

Of course, students have a lot to gain if they learn how to write a college paper, but the truth is that professors have tried every tactic to make students interested in paper writing… and they failed. Nothing makes them interested and the only solution that would make everyone happy is to put an end to the torture and stop assigning papers in required courses.
Students who actually like writing (and believe me – they are an endangered species) can take courses in English and literature and elaborate their opinions on Proust and French literature as much as they want to. Everyone who wants to become a writer or develop crucial skills of discussion will take those courses, and all other students will be put out of their misery.
The required humanities courses should go back to the old-school grading style based on oral and written exams. Students won’t be able to buy their answers and the grades will be fair for everyone. Paper-writing is easy to fake and the process of grading is subjective, which makes humanities courses unfairly imprecise.


With more exams and substantially fewer papers to write, students will hopefully stop complaining that they don’t have time for anything, and professors will stop being frustrated by grading them.
